This is one of the most beautiful viewpoints overlooking the River Douro and Douro winemaking region. It is easily accessed, at just 5 kms from Pinhão and bestows breathtaking views over the river Douro and the Valley stretching as far as Sabrosa. Here we invite you to take a seat and contemplate the exceptional views.

São João da Pesqueira

São Salvador do Mundo

The viewpoint at São Salvador do Mundo is located on the left bank of the river Douro in the heart of the demarcated area, also classified as World Heritage. The view is comprised of an enormous granite cone with an altitude of 493m and a steep slope down to the river.

The São Leonardo viewpoint provides stunning panoramic views overlooking the spectacular River Douro and showcasing the incredible region of Trás-os-Montes.
The views are outstanding and reflect the natural beauty of the sinuous River Douro, etched with the vine terraces that produce the famous Douro Port wine and which have characterised life in this region for centuries.

Nossa Senhora de Fátima

The Nossa Senhora de Fátima viewpoint is a small area of land, the landscape of which is made up of granite banks, shady trees and a small shrine to Our Lady. It can be found near Valença do Douro, on one of the bends of the EN504 National Road. This spot overlooks the Douro River and provides unique views over the vine terraces and an extensive section of the river with several sinuous bends.
